Root Canals

A root canal is performed to eliminate infected areas of a tooth and protect it from further infection. This procedure is minimally invasive and saves millions of teeth each year, making it a highly successful option for patients with infected dental pulp. Dr. Morio is specially trained to safely administer in-office anesthesia, which will ensure that patients feel comfortable and at ease during treatment.

Apicoectomy

This procedure carefully accesses the canals of the tooth through the tip of the tooth’s root (called the apex). It is performed when a nonsurgical root canal procedure cannot save a tooth and ensures that the tooth’s root does not develop any further infections or complications. An apicoectomy is done either using local anesthesia or IV sedation. Dr. Morio and her staff are specially trained in the safe administration of sedation and strive to make sure every patient feels relaxed and comfortable.
